Looks as Dumb as You Sound

No honestly, the sound of your cell phone ring isn't what pushes me over the edge, nope it isn't the obnoxious volume that you have your ringer set at either, not even the fact that you talk loud enough for the whole bus to hear you. It is more along the lines of you that I really detest. Yup, the whole package. The cluelessness of your actions including the "I'm so cool" look on your face when the Simpsons theme starts playing when someone gives you a call. The Simpsons may be cool, but unfortunately your association does not make up for what you are lacking.

What is it about people that makes them feel their cell phone is an item of public amusement. I don't care to know if you are getting a call (or what you have to talk about), so please don't broadcast this extraneous noise for everyone to hear. If you fear that because your hearing is going that you may miss a call, use vibrate or better yet don't talk on the phone at all. It seems that when you do you assume the other person is a deaf as yourself and need to broadcast your voice for them. Here is a hint for you, they have volume controls on their phone and will turn up their phone to hear you. We do not need to know about your cousin and her adventures in the realm of pyramid schemes, that is just embarrassing for the both of us.

I am a passive guy, despite my occasional rant and rave. But some people (as seen above) may not blow things off the same as I would. Please do yourself a favor, the next time you are in a study hall, on a bus or outside of your home have some semblance of privacy and self respect.
