Life Gems ... a little creepy?

And now for something a little creepy. While reading Wired magazine, I recently found Life Gems. It is a way to keep the deceased alive and well in your memory, in the form of bling. I see this being a reason for all the gaudy jewelry warn by gangstas, it is kind of like bragging rights.

But for the rest of us, it can boil down to creepy sentiments. Yup, get your cremated great aunt's ashes made into a diamond ring. Even if she was butt-ugly in real life, people can gawk at her after she is gone. I think the creepiest part however is the name. It sounds like something from Vanilla Sky. Pretty much anybody making their living off dead people are a little strange. Myself, I want to be stuffed and left in a rocker on the front porch.
